One of the main pillars of our association’s work is the organization of medical training<\/strong>. Clinic staff receive training<\/strong>and participate in internships<\/strong>. We provide practical training<\/strong> in German clinics for medical specialists from Ethiopia, as well as medical-scientific symposia in Ethiopia.<\/p>

In addition, in the specialist school of the General Hospital in Yirgalem, we organize seminars and workshops<\/b> on a variety of topics. We develop a clinical hygiene concept<\/b> and provide comprehensive training for the hospital staff in order to improve the hospital’s hygienic conditions, which are urgently needed.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Current Project: \"Network Against Germs\"<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The goal of the project “Network against germs”<\/strong> is to transfer knowledge on both sides, which is supported by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).<\/p>

Three Ethiopian doctors and a nurse will have the opportunity to work as interns in German<\/strong> hospitals and medical practices<\/strong> for two to three weeks.<\/p>

In Ethiopia<\/strong>, doctors, clinic staff, and craftsmen from Germany will offer training<\/strong> in hygiene-related topics. Four multipliers<\/strong> will be trained during the training courses, each of whom will be responsible for one of the following occupational groups as hygiene officers:<\/p>

  • craftsmen\/workwomen<\/li>
  • Doctors and nurses<\/li>
  • kitchen staff<\/li>
  • Cleaning crews<\/li><\/ul>
